Brain graduated from BYU ChemE dept in 1985 and has since worked at: Signetics in OremUt as a Process Engineer (10 years); Mentor Graphics as a researcher and designer of next generation IC design software (2 years); Fonix as a researcher of speech recognition and speech synthesis (15 years);  Approach Systems as a designer and developer of moving map software for aviation applications (5 years); AppTime, LLC as a designer of mobile device software (3 years).  He is married to Roxi Moncur and has 3 sons.

Ken is an emeritus professor of Chemical Engineering at BYU. He served the department as a professor for over 3 decades before retiring in 2012.

Garth Black (B.S. 2000; M.B.A. 2008)

Garth has been employed with National Instruments (headquartered in Austin, TX) since June 2000. He has worked in various roles at NI, including Applications Engineering and Product Management. In 2002, he worked for six months in the NI United Kingdom office where he implemented a Leadership training program for Applications Engineers in the NI European offices. For the last six years, Garth has worked as a Field Systems Design Engineer and Account Manager for the Utah and Idaho region. He graduated from BYU with a BS in Chemical Engineering in April 2000. He also completed masters courses and graduated from BYU with a Masters degree in Business Administration in August 2008. Garth and his wife, Andrea, have 5 children and reside in Kaysville, Utah.

John Cutler (B.S. 1993; M.E.M. 1994; M.E.A. 1999 Virginia Tech)

John completed his BYU BS degree in 1993, went to the Summer 1993 BYU Israel Study Abroad, and then completed the BYU MEMdegree in 1994.  After leaving BYU, John moved to Washington DC to work as a mechanical component engineer in the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program.  During this time, he also earned another masters degree in Engineering Administration from Virginia Tech.  For the past 12 years, John has worked in a variety of IT system analysis/administration and developer roles for Mellon Bank, American Beverage Corporation, and most recently, Zions Bank.  His technical skills sets include data process improvement, ad-hoc reporting and analysis, data system design and implementation, relational and multidimensional database development and administration, and structured programming.  John enjoys digital photography, non-fiction reading, economics and personal finance, hands-on history and travel, sports, home improvement projects, and doing family, church, and community activities.  John and his wife, Sarah, have 5 children and live in Highland, Utah.

Nicole Stewart (B.S. 1996)

Nicole graduated from BYU in April 1996.  She worked, for a short time, for BDM in Layton, Utah where she did environmental work at Hill Air Force Base.  After working at BDM, she converted to full time domestic engineering a.k.a. motherhood for 14 years.  Currently, Nicole is an Adjunct Faculty member for the BYU ChEdepartment co-teacing the freshman 170 class and working withChE Women's Initiatives.  Nicole served on the ChEAS Board from 2003-2006 and has been its Administrator since February 2010.  Nicole is married to Matt Stewart and they have 4 children.

Brad is currently a Professor in the BYU Chemical Engineering Department.  His research is focused on protein engineering forbiocatalysis  and imaging applications with funding from  NASA, DARPA, the National Science  Foundation and the National Pork Board. His continued work in engineering science and education is detailed on his website at http://bundy.byu.edu. Brad is married to Becky and they have 5 highly energetic children.
